Alphabet books are the best. Regularly we hunt through the shelves of the local library looking for new titles that celebrate letters. Once we've fallen for a book we usually end up adding it to our home library. Today, we have gathered our Top 26 Alphabet Books for your review.

  22. G is for Googol: A Math Alphabet Book by David M. Schwartz - This book is definitely intended for older kiddos, but my five and under group enjoy when we read from it. It is FULL of math facts and we love math.
  23. So Many Bunnies by Rick Walton - Adorable!
  24. Engineering the ABC's: How Engineers Shape Our World by Patty O'Brien Novak
  25. Richard Scarry's ABC Word Book - A classic!
  26. Alpha Tales by Scholastic - Ok, I cheated a bit on this one. This is actually a boxed set of letter books, but I couldn't leave it off because the kiddos LOVE it. Alpha Tales is the perfect match to any alphabet curriculum. We used it for letter of the week with our oldest kiddo following the standard A - Z letter introduction. We now use it with our middle kiddo who is learning Montessori style by the sound letters make and following the Montessori sequence of letters. The kiddos pull these from our bookshelves daily.

I'm looking for reading books for a beginning reader, he knows the letters, but hasn't started putting them together to form words yet, any tips?

Hi Aaron! Thanks for stopping by. Bob Books are the classic beginning readers. We also like Meet the Phonics books from Preschool Prep. I have heard good things about the Ant and Bee series, they are on our wishlist. There are also a lot of great printable (and often free) beginning reader options online, too. This Reading Mama and The Measured Mom are two resources that come to mind.

Hope this helps and good look on your reading journey!
